My Qualifications and Services
I am well qualified to help you.
I have been licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (#22475) since 1986. I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I have served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Chapter of CAMFT for ten years; two as President. I was awarded certificates of recognition for service by CAMFT in 1988, 1989 and 1992. I participated as a member of the Bioethics Advisory Committee at Cottage Hospital for ten years and for three years was a private practice allied health professional member of the Cottage Hospital Department of Psychiatry where I assisted psychiatrists by consulting with psychiatric inpatients' families at the hospital. I work closely with physicians and allied medical professionals in Santa Barbara.

I have completed coursework in corporate coaching and relationship coaching.

During the 1980's I was a successful competitive power lifter. I was coached in my sport by several coaches. I have experienced excellent coaching and I know how to instill the same qualities of focus and motivation in my therapy practice.

During the 1970's I was a Staff Development and Training Specialist for the Vermont Department of Human Services. I trained management and staff in communication skills, management methods, time management and a variety of other topics. I know how to provide accurate, tactful and timely feedback.

When you choose to consult with me you get all my "know how" in coaching with all of the professional, legal and ethical standards my professional license provides.
